Why the name change from NFSA Owls?

When the OWLS was estabilished we were initially focused on research into the NFSA building and items held in its collection.  However, we now realise that this is a narrow focus and we are missing out on valuable contributions from the broader world of audiovisual archiving. 

We now want to broaden our scope to invite contributions relevant to Australia's audio visual history in general, including original research and oral histories, from those who have worked in industry as well as from film and sound historians, both amateur and professional.
